Supporting the National Economy, People’s Capital Distributes Rp11.9 Trillion to MSMEs

PT Modal Rakyat Indonesia (MRI), a peer-to-peer lending fintech company that focuses on funding micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), has disbursed loans of more than Rp11.9 trillion to more than 500,000 MSMEs since its establishment in 2018.
“By 2022, Modal Rakyat will have disbursed loans of more than Rp5 trillion to 77,000 MSMEs,” said Christian Hanggra, President Director of Modal Rakyat Indonesia, in an official statement, Tuesday (2/4).
Modal Rakyat is committed to advancing MSMEs in Indonesia by providing easy and affordable access to funding. The Modal Rakyat platform allows the public to provide direct loans to MSMEs with measurable risks.

The Company is registered and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and has renewed its ISO 27001 certification every year since 2021. This demonstrates Modal Rakyat’s commitment to regulatory compliance and consumer data protection.
In 2023, Modal Rakyat focuses on building partnerships with fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), building materials, agriculture, and F&B ecosystems with strong capital of IDR 34 billion.

“In 2024, Modal Rakyat will become a pioneer in funding business actors in Indonesia through financial technology innovation,” explained Christian.
Through the concept of embedded finance, Modal Rakyat embraces the industrial ecosystem and establishes partnerships with well-known companies such as Meratus and Sari Kreasi Boga.
