Malang, Indonesia – The Regency of Sumenep has been recognized for its outstanding innovation in civil service management, receiving a prestigious award from the National Civil Service Agency (BKN). The accolade was presented to acknowledge the region’s excellence in providing the best service for Civil Servant Identification Number (NIP) management within the jurisdiction of BKN Regional Office II Surabaya.
Bupati Achmad Fauzi Wongsojudo, who accepted the award on behalf of Sumenep in Malang on Thursday (24/07/2025), emphasized that this achievement reflects the administration’s dedication to strengthening the professionalism of the state apparatus. “This recognition is proof of our commitment to managing civil service affairs with efficiency and integrity,” he said.
The award highlights how effective personnel administration has become a cornerstone of bureaucratic reform in Sumenep, ensuring not only fast and accurate service but also reinforcing the foundation for high-quality human resources in the public sector.
Bupati Achmad Fauzi further noted that while this achievement is a milestone, it should not lead to complacency. Instead, he called on the apparatus to cultivate an adaptive and competitive ecosystem that continuously enhances the standards of public service.
The vision is clear: to build governance that is efficient, accountable, and people-centered. “When civil servants carry out their duties with discipline, professionalism, and timeliness, the community directly feels the positive impact,” he stated.
The award was officially handed over by BKN Head Zudan Arif Fakrulloh during the Evaluation of Civil Service Recruitment and Talent Management event held in Malang. The event itself underscored the importance of innovation and dedication in strengthening Indonesia’s public administration.
Concluding his remarks, Bupati Achmad Fauzi expressed hope that the recognition would inspire every ASN in Sumenep to innovate further, elevate their performance, and contribute to the success of development programs that ultimately enhance community welfare.
