Indonesia Launches Halal Indo 2025 to Strengthen Global Halal Industry Leadership

Jakarta – Indonesia has officially launched Halal Indo 2025, a strategic initiative to bolster its position as a global hub for the halal industry. The inauguration event, held on April 30, 2025, brought together government officials, industry leaders, and international stakeholders to discuss the future of halal products and services.

The initiative aims to enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global halal market by focusing on innovation, quality assurance, and international collaboration. Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized the country’s commitment to developing a robust halal ecosystem that caters to both domestic and international demands.

Halal Indo 2025 encompasses various sectors, including food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and tourism. The program seeks to standardize halal certification processes, improve supply chain management, and foster research and development in halal products.

Indonesia’s large Muslim population and strategic location make it well-positioned to lead the global halal industry. The government plans to leverage these advantages by creating policies that support halal businesses and attract foreign investment.

International participants at the launch event expressed interest in partnering with Indonesian companies to tap into the growing halal market. Collaborations are expected to drive innovation and open new avenues for trade and economic growth.

As Halal Indo 2025 progresses, Indonesia aims to set new standards in halal product development and distribution, reinforcing its role as a key player in the global halal economy.
