Jakarta — The Bisnis Indonesia Financial Awards (BIFA) 2025 marked its 17th year by honoring 60 corporations and business leaders across Indonesia’s financial services industry. The awards, presented in Jakarta on September 18, celebrated excellence in banking, insurance, and multifinance, highlighting not only financial performance but also governance and sustainability.
Recognizing Industry Leaders
BIFA 2025 featured multiple award categories:
- Banking: Best Performance Bank, Most Efficient Bank, and Champion of Growth Bank (8 winners each).
- Insurance: Best Performance Insurance and Most Efficient Insurance (9 winners each).
- Multifinance: Best Performance Multifinance and Most Efficient Multifinance (4 winners each).
- Leadership: Best CEO in Banking, Multifinance, Insurance, and Regional Development Banks (BPD).
In total, more than 60 awards were presented, reflecting the diversity and dynamism of Indonesia’s financial sector.
A Rigorous Selection Process
Winners were chosen based on financial performance from 2022 to 2024, evaluated by a distinguished jury panel led by Prof. Eduardus Tandelilin (UGM), alongside industry leaders such as Fauzi Ichsan (former LPS executive), Suwandi Wiratno (APPI), and Julian Noor (AAUI).
According to Prof. Tandelilin, the process went beyond numbers:
“We did not simply rely on scores. We also considered governance, sustainability, and the broader impact of each institution,” he explained.

The awards underscore the resilience of Indonesia’s financial sector amid global uncertainty. By recognizing efficiency, growth, and leadership, BIFA 2025 aims to inspire institutions to pursue innovation while maintaining strong governance.
