Apple CEO Tim Cook’s Post-Meeting Plans Following Discussions with Jokowi and Prabowo

Apple CEO Tim Cook’s visit to Indonesia continues after meeting with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, as well as with Defense Minister and President-elect Prabowo Subianto. Following his series of meetings with the government, Cook still has other engagements in Indonesia. One of his agendas includes inaugurating the fourth Apple Developer Academy in Indonesia, located in Bali. The opening of this academy marks an expansion of Apple’s investment in Indonesia and enhances opportunities for individuals seeking to embark on careers in the iOS application industry. Prior to Bali, there are already three Apple Developer Academies in Indonesia, situated in Batam, Surabaya, and Tangerang. “We are opening the fourth Developer Academy, which we just announced yesterday. This academy will be held in Bali,” said Cook at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday (17/4/2024). Apple claims that the existing three academies have produced numerous graduates who have excelled in creating applications for the App Store. “We are proud of their performance, having graduated thousands of individuals and creating App Store applications that are not only popular domestically but also internationally. So, we are very excited,” he added. Cook also mentioned Indonesia’s significant potential and the various investment opportunities available. “I think the investment potential in Indonesia is enormous. I believe there are many excellent places for investment, and we are investing. We believe in this country,” he emphasized.
