London — Nigerian-born media entrepreneur and broadcast consultant Ehijie Jeffery Ebhodaghe has been recognized at the African UK Trade and Investment Awards 2025 in London, receiving the award for Outstanding Corporate Excellence in Digital Innovation and Inclusive Impact. The honor celebrates his contributions to creativity, inclusion, and excellence in the global broadcast and digital media industry.
Ebhodaghe, Group Chief Executive Officer of Jeffwise Media Global Limited, expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as both encouragement and motivation to continue advancing innovation. His journey reflects years of dedication to bridging African and UK creative ecosystems, while promoting digital storytelling that amplifies African narratives on the global stage.
Born in Iki Opoji, Edo State, Nigeria, Ebhodaghe’s passion for media began in his teenage years through his church’s media unit. After earning a degree in Political Science from Ambrose Alli University, he built a career across leading Nigerian media organizations including Fam TV, NTA Benin, Kaftan TV, and Wazobia TV. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Digital Media at the University for the Creative Arts, Surrey, before founding Jeffwise Media Global Limited.
His company specializes in film production, digital marketing, live streaming, and technical training, while also running a multimedia academy that equips young creatives with skills in journalism, video editing, and broadcast engineering. This dual focus on business and mentorship has positioned him as both an innovator and a role model for aspiring African creatives.
Ebhodaghe acknowledged the challenges he has faced, from funding gaps and infrastructure issues in Nigeria to cultural and racial barriers in the UK. Yet he emphasized that these obstacles only fuel his determination to project Africa positively to the world. His upcoming short film, exploring the experiences of Nigerian migrants in the UK, reflects his commitment to telling stories of resilience, integration, and values in a foreign land.
Looking ahead, he plans to expand Jeffwise Media’s global footprint and strengthen partnerships with platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and the British Film Institute. For him, the award is not just recognition but a responsibility to inspire young Africans to “start small, think big, and act positively.”
At 2025’s African UK Trade and Investment Awards, Ebhodaghe’s story stood out as a reminder that innovation is not only about technology but also about inclusion, resilience, and the courage to tell stories that matter. His recognition is both a personal milestone and a symbol of Africa’s growing influence in global media.
