Bangkok, Thailand — Malaysian golf professional Liyana Durisic continued to prove her growing stature in the sport, finishing an impressive third at the Singha-NSDF Bangkok Ladies Championship held at the Watermill Golf Club and Resort in Nakhon Nayok over the weekend.
Liyana saved her finest performance for the final round, carding a five-under 67 to finish with a total of 11-under 205. Her strong play placed her in a tie for third alongside Filipino golfer Princess Superal, who also posted a consistent 68-71-66.
The 25-year-old Malaysian displayed composure and consistency across all three rounds, opening with scores of 70 and 68 before producing her standout finish. Her performance highlighted not only technical skill but also mental resilience — traits that have established her as one of Southeast Asia’s most promising golf talents.
Fellow Malaysian Winnie Ng also impressed with a series of steady rounds, carding 68, 71, and 71 to share 14th place. The result came just weeks after she celebrated her career breakthrough by winning the Thai LPGA Singha Life Color Tour.
“Happy to put together another solid week out here in Thailand. Still lots to improve but grateful for the chance to test my game on a great course set-up,” Liyana said after the tournament, reflecting on her performance and future ambitions.
The tournament crown went to Thai amateur Achiraya Sriwong, who stunned the field with three days of composed, high-level golf, finishing at 16-under 200 (67-64-69) — four strokes ahead of second-placed Nanthikarn Raksachat at 12-under 204 (68-69-67).
For Liyana, this podium finish is more than a statistic — it’s a testament to her steady rise on the international circuit. With determination, humility, and a relentless drive to improve, she continues to inspire a new generation of Asian golfers aiming to leave their mark on the global stage.
